For that reason, I’d like to share a little about me, my philosophy around food, and what’s it like to work with me. If you are interested to know what it is like to work with me, this one is for you. My journey with healthy lifestyle and diet started over ten years ago, after I experienced the effect of the change in my lifestyle in my own body. Since then, I have eagerly, constantly studied, and expanded my knowledge about healthy nutrition and lifestyles. Today, I possess a Master’s degree in Nutrition Science from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM). Despite the years I’ve invested in my Master’s and the knowledge I’ve gained so far; I keep my education going non-stop to ensure I will always give my clients the best advice possible. So, What Can You Expect Working with Me?

As a nutritionist, I advise on nutrition and the effects it may have on an individual. I promote healthier lifestyles and eating habits and help you, my client, alter your diet in a variety of ways to meet your unique goals and needs. I can assist with various needs. Starting from weight loss, through food intolerances and allergies, specific health conditions, hormonal imbalance, digestion issues, special diets, and much more. During an intake appointment, I’ll review your health history with you, current eating habits, I’ll take measurements like height, weight, circumference, age, etc. and finally get your goal set. Just like everyone, I love food, too. I also love helping people and teach them about healthy eating, which is a pretty big job. As a nutritionist, I consider myself an expert in food, nutrition, and health. Before you leave this meeting, I’ll provide you with nutrition education and resources on healthy eating to help you stick to your plan. What’s in the Plan?

Each plan is tailored to meet your specific needs. My philosophy is that each and every individual is unique with a different size, shape, and various nutritional needs. That is why there isn’t one diet or approach that fits us all. The tailored plan usually includes:
  • Lifestyle change recommendations: diet, hydration, sleep, stress management, etc.
  • Specific diet recommendations
  • A list of recommended foods
  • A list of foods to eliminate
  • Recipes
  • Example meal plan
  • Handouts

In the nutrition field it’s common to hear clients talk about how they’ve already tried many ways to change their lifestyle and eating habits, but have failed every time. In other cases, people tell me that they want to make a change but they feel it’s going to be too hard, or it’s not the right time for them now because they are simply too busy… I believe that a huge part of a successful lifestyle change is to have someone there to guide you and be there for you. Being an accountability partner’ is an essential part of my services. I regularly provide you the support network you’ll need and encourage you to contact me for solutions and answers outside of our scheduled appointments. The first magical solution is simply the recognition that this is a process. For the average person it takes about 21 days to fully adopt new lifelong habits, for other people it can be longer. But as long as you are persistent and utilize the level of knowledge and support I provide as a nutritionist, you are half way there. Making a real change isn’t about how many calories you’ve consumed (although it may be beneficial in some cases), it’s about the quality of the food and about what is right for your body. During this process, people learn how to read the signals their body gives them and that makes it magically easier for them to follow through and continue with the plan.
