We work, raise families, and run errands every day—it’s no wonder we struggle to find time for exercise. But it is so crucial to our health and happiness.  

Why is walking good for your skin?

Walking is magical because you can do it almost anywhere at any time—and most importantly, it doesn’t require any special equipment or training. It is just one of the many lifestyle changes we should make to accommodate our skin health regime. The benefits of walking are vast and include increased fitness, increased heart health, weight loss, and reduced stress levels. All these things can significantly improve your skin condition.

 

The benefits of walking for the skin.

● Walking around the block, going for a stroll on the beach, or getting lost in your favorite forest is as relaxing as it can get. When you’re relaxed, your body stops producing high cortisol levels, which causes premature aging of your skin. ● Just 20 minutes of warm sun on a spring day can make us feel alive, like we can conquer anything. That’s because spending time in daylight regulates our circadian rhythm and helps us sleep better. Nights are when our skin repairs itself, so it looks even better in the morning. ● Your legs and heart get a workout when you’re walking, which helps improve circulation, increase your metabolism, and give your skin a healthy glow.  

How to increase your daily walks

Instead of commuting, walk to the shops. Instead of driving to the office, take the train. Walking is also a great way to get out, get some exercise and catch up with a friend. Ask a friend if you could tag along on one or two of their walks. Exercise together. Then you get to chat as well. Adopting a more active lifestyle can be liberating in many ways. It’s greener and healthier – and much cheaper too. The human body is a miraculous, beautiful creation that needs to be taken care of. A small change in your daily routine, such as walking, can do so much for you. Add a few more factors, such as a healthy diet, hydration, and self-love, and you are good to go!
